May - underpainting in acrylic yellow red purple, draw in black

Using a MIke Svob technique to painting.  I actually started this lesson in December, months before I attended the workshop with Mike.
The drawing of the painting will become part of the finished painting as oil paint will not merge
The scene is a close up of a mountains snowy glacier.

April: Working in Clay BAS RELEIF

Students will create a two dimensional image

March Still Life Fragmenting

Students will complete their Fragmented paintings similar to the style of Angus Wilson.  Using a still life set up students will sketch their scene and the cut that drawing, displacing one piece students will then draw out their still life fragments onto their canvas & outline in black.  Students will determine what colour they want to paint and then they will paint the canvas in the complimentary colour . When complete they will paint lightly over the complimentary colour the originally planned colour.
